CIVIL ENGINEERING

At its core, civil engineering provides the foundation of civilization by moving people and water to and from places. Over the centuries, civil engineering has grown to incorporate a multitude of functions.

For us, civil engineering is more than providing the basic components of a project. We see civil engineering as part of the identity, health, and soul of a project and its surrounding community. By considering the integration and functionality of the surrounding areas, our engineers solve current problems with a focus on durable designs to last far into the future.

Our mentality, when delivering civil engineering projects, is based on the understanding that a single project is part of a bigger picture. We strive for the long-term satisfaction of our clients by incorporating their ultimate uses of the project. A key to achieving this long-term satisfaction is establishing understanding and relationships with our clients, communities, and regulatory authorities.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION

Construction inspectors are ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of a project. The sheer size, complexity, and level of detail must be considered since these projects serve and protect the public. Our inspectors work closely with the contractors to anticipate issues and resolve them quickly to keep projects on moving forward and on schedule. We understand the importance of both the near-term delivery and the long-term functionality of the project. All our inspectors have MnDOT and NASSCO certifications.

Our Construction Inspection Team will Observe and Inspect:

  • Alignment, Level, and Elevations of Structures

  • Excavation and Fill Operations

  • Water, Sanitary, Sewer, and Stormwater

  • Concrete Placement

  • Asphalt Paving

  • Grading Operation

  • Structural Steel

  • Bridge Construction

  • Post and Pre-Tension
